Proficiency Cards
Silver card: Proficiency in
the catechism of all three degrees of Freemasonry. This designation includes
both questions and answers and certifies the holder is qualified to teach the
catechism in preparation to stand proficiency.
White card: Proficiency in
the ceremonies of opening and closing in all three degrees of Freemasonry, and
the catechism and esoteric work of the Entered Apprentice Degree.
Green card: Proficiency in the ceremonies of opening and closing
in all three degrees of Freemasonry, and the catechism and esoteric work of the
Entered Apprentice Degree and the Fellowcraft Degree.
Blue card: Proficiency in the ceremonies of opening and closing
in all three degrees of Freemasonry, and the catechism and esoteric work of the
Entered Apprentice Degree, the Fellowcraft Degree and the Master Mason
Degree.
Brown card: Proficiency in all the following portions or parts of
the esoteric forms and ceremonies:
a.
All Chaplain
parts in conferring the three degrees including, an opening prayer, a closing
prayer, the flag prayer, circumambulations, and prayers for the 25, 40, &
50 year membership awards.
b.
The three regular
Charges at Initiation, Passing & Raising
c.
All parts in one
or more Funeral/Memorial service.
d. The Presentation of the Lambskin Apron.
Gold card: Proficiency in the ceremonies of opening and closing
in all three degrees of Freemasonry and the esoteric work of all
three degrees and the lectures of all three degrees. (Accompanied by a certificate suitable for framing).
Note:
Generally, all proficiency cards are valid for three (3) years, at which time the cardholder must demonstrate continued proficiency for reissue. A GOLD CARD is valid for life, unless revoked by the Grand Lodge.
